Why Prizes?Prizes have traditionally served as a way to award the best or brightest in a discipline: from school spelling bees to the Nobel prizes. Prizes may also be awarded for individuals or teams who reach the “finish line” first: from childhood scavenger hunts to the Boston Marathon. The Freedom Prizes are awarded in the spirit of “Inducement prizes,” which encourage efforts by contestants to accomplish a particular goal through the offering of a prize bounty, rather than offering prizes or prize money which acknowledge previous accomplishments. The Freedom Prize Foundation welcomes the best ideas by offering prizes to stimulate creativity and entrepreneurship from all over America. The Freedom Prize Foundation will honor and publicize the winners and winning ideas in order to further disseminate the best ideas across the country. |
